As part of a recent research collaboration agreement between Sagarmatha Choudhary Eye Hospital (SCEH), Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh (NNJS), and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), a five-year long cornea research project has started. The first phase of this project is a multi-centre, randomised controlled clinical trial comparing topical chlorhexidine 0.2% to topical natamycin 5% for the treatment of fungal keratitis. Sagarmatha Choudhary Eye Hospital, Lahan, has been chosen as the study site for Asia. @LSHTM @sceh.lahan @NNJS @jjslh #ophthalmicresearch #blindness #fungalkeratitis
